A glowing complexion is a universal sign of youth and beauty. When your skin begins to show the signs of aging, that glow can be one of the first things to go. Microneedling uses a hand-held applicator fitted with a series of ultrafine needles designed to stimulate your skin’s own natural production of collagen and elastin to trigger natural skin regeneration to smooth the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and restore healthier, firmer skin.

What is microneedling?

Microneedling stimulates your body’s own production of collagen and elastin, compounds in your skin which allow it to have volume, bounce, and retain moisture. As you age, your body loses its ability to produce these compounds in the quantities it once did resulting in a lack of firmness, loss of volume, and the development of lines and creases. Microneedling creates a series of microinjuries in the surface of your skin, triggering natural skin regeneration to produce fresh, healthy new skin cells that glow.

How is microneedling performed?

While microneedling may seem like a scary process at first glance, it is one of the most effective ways to boost your skin’s natural healing properties. Using a hand-held applicator that has a series of ultrafine needles, the applicator is passed over the surface of the skin, creating a series of tiny, controlled injuries. These injuries call on your body’s own healing processes increasing the production of collagen and elastin. As you skin heals from the microinjuries, it is rejuvenated from within, smoothing the appearance of lines and creases, reducing the appearance of acne scars and stretch marks, producing a more even skin tone, and improving firmness.

Our Plan for Resuming In-Office Patient Care

We are pleased to annouce our very soft re-opening to patients this Monday, May 4th. We are not opening to full capacity as we are closely following the recommendations of the American Society of Plastic Surgery and our numerous professional affiliations and governing boards. We will be seeing a very limited number of patients per day. The following outlines our plan and what we are doing to keep you safe.

Screening:

You will be called the day before your appointment and screened for any symptoms. Any symptoms will require rescheduling.

Upon your arrival your temperature will be taken and you will be asked to rescheduled if over 100.0.

You must wear a mask upon entering the building and will only remove if getting a procedure done on the face. We ask that you please bring a mask to your appointment. Due to limited availability we will provide a mask to you for a charge of $5.

No one can accompany you into the office unless there are significant mobility or communication issues you need help with and in that case only one person can come with you. You may not bring children to your appointment.

Our waiting room is closed. You may enter the building to check in and gather any paperwork you may require and return to your car. You will be called when your room is ready.

Office Safety and Sanitation

Employees will also complete a daily questionnaire and have their temperature taken and will be sent home if there are any symptoms. Employees will wear personal protective equipment throughout your entire visit.

Each room and all areas that patients and employees touch including office supplies or equipment will be sanitized thoroughly between patients according to CDC guidelines.

We have missed you and look forward to seeing you back in the office!
