When it comes to cosmetic injectables, they vary in performance. Voluma is a dermal filler in the Juvéderm family, based upon synthetic hyaluronic acid. When injected strategically, Voluma temporarily restores facial volume, fills lines and creases, and restores a more youthful, refreshed look.

What is Voluma?

As you age, your body no longer has the ability to produce important compounds such as collagen and hyaluronic acid. This results in loss of volume, loss of firmness, your face may appear sunken or hollowed, with lines and creases. These visible signs of aging take a toll on your self-esteem, and make you appear old, tired, and less vital. Voluma works to reinforce the underlying facial structure, plumping the skin and lifting sagging areas.

How does Voluma work?

Voluma is made of a viscous hyaluronic acid-based gel which is injected into areas of the face to restore loss of volume. One of the building blocks of your skin, hyaluronic acid attracts moisture and gives your skin the coveted suppleness associated with youthful skin. As you age and natural HA diminishes, your skin loses moisture and volume, resulting in areas which look hollowed or gaunt, with sagging cheeks, jowls, wrinkles, and lines. Through volume restoration with Voluma, your skin can appear plump, full, and far more youthful.

What areas can be treated with Voluma?

Injection of dermal fillers is equal parts art, understanding the underlying facial structure, and technical skill. • Cheeks
  • Under the eyes

What can I expect following treatment with Voluma?

Volume restoration with Voluma is non-invasive, requires no downtime, and can be completed in our office in as little as 30 minutes – you can return to your normal activities as soon as you leave your appointment. You may experience mild tenderness, redness, or swelling following treatment. This is temporary and should subside within a day or two. You should refrain from touching the treatment areas, as this can cause the product to move to other areas. Your results will be immediately visible, and typically last between 18 and 24 months.

You will be treated with professionalism, kindness, and exceptional skill.
