Thigh Lift Plastic Surgery in Valdosta, South Georgia and North Central Florida

If you are self‑conscious about your lower body appearance, you may want to consider thigh lift plastic surgery with board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Sonya Merriman at her plastic surgery center in Valdosta, Georgia. This procedure is intended to produce tighter, more attractive thigh and buttock skin with improved contours. It is also intended to decrease irregularities in the skin’s surface. Thigh lift plastic surgery with Dr. Merriman can be particularly effective after significant weight loss.

You may also be a candidate for thigh lift plastic surgery with Dr. Merriman if you have experienced a loss of skin elasticity in the thigh, hip, or buttock areas. Thigh lift plastic surgery may also be appropriate if your skin in the thigh area is saggy, or has a flabby or dimpled appearance.

If the skin of the inner thigh sags or is droopy, a thigh lift is ideal as it will tighten up the skin and smooth the contour of the inner thigh. Patients who have lost a lot of weight are also ideal candidates for an inner thigh lift, often done in combination with other cosmetic surgery procedures.

However, as with any other surgical procedure, body lifts require incisions. Incision length and pattern depend on the amount and location of excess skin to be removed. In many cases, Dr. Merriman can place incisions in strategic locations where they can be hidden by most types of clothing and swimwear.

Patients in the Plantation Trace, South Georgia and North Central Florida region have chosen thigh lift plastic surgery with Dr. Merriman for many different reasons, including:

  • To obtain a tighter, smoother contour of the thigh and buttock skin
  • To remove excess thigh skin after weight loss
  • To eliminate wrinkles, folds and excess fat in the thigh area
  • To enhance comfort when wearing clothes
  • Improved self-esteem and confidence

Our Plan for Resuming In-Office Patient Care

We are pleased to annouce our very soft re-opening to patients this Monday, May 4th. We are not opening to full capacity as we are closely following the recommendations of the American Society of Plastic Surgery and our numerous professional affiliations and governing boards. We will be seeing a very limited number of patients per day. The following outlines our plan and what we are doing to keep you safe.

You will be called the day before your appointment and screened for any symptoms. Any symptoms will require rescheduling.

Upon your arrival your temperature will be taken and you will be asked to rescheduled if over 100.0.

You must wear a mask upon entering the building and will only remove if getting a procedure done on the face. We ask that you please bring a mask to your appointment. Due to limited availability we will provide a mask to you for a charge of $5.

No one can accompany you into the office unless there are significant mobility or communication issues you need help with and in that case only one person can come with you. You may not bring children to your appointment.

Our waiting room is closed. You may enter the building to check in and gather any paperwork you may require and return to your car. You will be called when your room is ready.

Office Safety and Sanitation

Employees will also complete a daily questionnaire and have their temperature taken and will be sent home if there are any symptoms. Employees will wear personal protective equipment throughout your entire visit.

Each room and all areas that patients and employees touch including office supplies or equipment will be sanitized thoroughly between patients according to CDC guidelines.

We have missed you and look forward to seeing you back in the office!
